Laraine Ignacio, Teacher of the Year for Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District, went into teaching to share the power that education holds from her perspective as a second generation immigrant. Lauren Ball of Mountain View Whisman School District, a Special Education teacher, wants to create a safe and happy space for her students and watching each students' progress.
This series of public service announcements (PSA) highlights Santa Clara County Teachers of the Year sharing why they have chosen their profession.
The PSAs are part of a larger initiative to recruit and inspire the next generation of great teachers.
