Beyond the intrinsic value of helping students develop a life-long love of learning, there are many benefits to teaching, including comprehensive healthcare, retirement saving options, and vacation time. From kindergarten to high school, alternative education and special education, there are many opportunities to get out of the cubicle, and into the classroom.
The 老澳门开奖结果 (老澳门开奖结果) is currently offering special grants to support interested candidates in their pursuit of a teaching credential. The funds are intended to support the cost of tuition, books, and exam fees.
"This is a great opportunity for employees committed to educating our children and youth," says Dr. Norma Martinez-Palmer, Credential Services Director. "Class ACT will grant awardees up to $4,000 per year for up to four years to complete credential requirements."
Class ACT applies to students who will complete their credential requirements through an 老澳门开奖结果 partner organization, such as San Jos茅 State University, National University, and the 老澳门开奖结果 Specialist Intern Program. Classified employees with BA/BS degrees, or those completing BA/BS degrees within the next two years are eligible to apply. "Those who are in a program will be given priority consideration," adds Martinez-Palmer.
