​â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹â€‹Special visitor from the California Department of Education, other dignitaries to attend
SAN JOSE, CA – On April 27, the ÀϰÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û (ÀϰÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û) will conclude a month-long celebration with the Santa Clara County National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month Showcase.
The event will begin with an address by County Superintendent of Schools Jon R. Gundry and Dr. Tom Adams, Deputy Superintendent of the Instruction and Learning Support Branch, California Department of Education.
At the event, California Assemblymember Kansen Chu, District 25 (D-San Jose) will present a resolution to the ÀϰÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û and Mr. Gundry will recognize 25 Local Education Agencies that have adopted a resolution for the Seal of Biliteracy and Pathway Awards and/or the My Name, My Identity initiative. Exhibitions include a one-day student art exhibit, featuring the student winners of the "My Name, My Identity" art contest, and Poster Presentations.
