This prestigious award recognizes elementary, middle, and high schools closing achievement and opportunity gaps, and where students achieve high learning standards. The local awardees were in the Exemplary High Performing School category:
- Joaquin Miller Middle School of the Cupertino Union School District
- Leigh High School of the Campbell Union High School District
- Lynbrook High School of the Fremont Union High School District
