SAN JOSE, CA 鈥� On June 18, 2021 the Santa Clara County Board of Education announced it would be accepting applications to fill a seat on the County Board of Education for Trustee Area 2 due to the resignation of Vice President Kathleen King. Eligible persons interested in consideration as a candidate for appointment were invited to apply by July 16, 2021. The ad-hoc committee of the County Board, tasked with review of applications, has announced the following five candidates are deemed eligible for consideration of appointment to the County Board of Education: Mingi Bodine, Sudha Kasamsetty, Anjali Kausar, Kevin Koch, and Tara Sreekrishnan.
The County Board will reconvene at 5:00 PM on August 4, 2021 at its regularly scheduled Board meeting to interview the five candidates and to take action on the provisional appointment. The meeting will be held via zoom teleconference.
