â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹â€‹â¶Ä‹Santa Clara County Community Schools serve expelled students grades 6-12 and are focused on developing the whole child. Our teams, support services, and partnerships are designed to provide a space where students can learn and grow as a student and as a person. We embrace the campsite rule of "leave it better than you found it." Our goal is to provide our students and families with an experience that sets them up for success as they transition into the comprehensive school system or pursue their college or career plans.

Independent Study Program

Our students need options beyond the traditional school setting. They are motivated, intelligent, and interested in navigating their own educational path and earn a California High School diploma.

The Alternative Education Department Independent Study Program – approved by the Western Association of Schools â€‹and Colleges – provides an individualized course of study in which students utilize the Edgenuity online platform to complete course work and attend class once a week to receive direct instruction, guided practice, targeted assessments, and support to earn their high school diploma.

Students attend their sessions in a relaxed learning environment at Sunol Community School. They can connect to their courses anywhere.

ÀϰÄÃÅ¿ª½±½á¹û is committed to supporting individual needs and ensuring they can reach their educational and career goals. To enroll or for more information, contact:
